This Home Stack has answers to likely questions that a first-time user might have, such as, “What is HyperStudio?”, and “Can you show me some examples?” You’re probably accustomed to applications opening with a blank screen, but in the case of HyperStudio, it opens with this pre-made HyperStudio file as a way of welcoming you to the HyperStudio environment. So in HyperStudio, each screen is called a “card”, and the entire collection of cards (screens) that is saved in a file is called a “stack”. A “stack” is the term used for a HyperStudio project file, and the word is related to the idea of a stack of note cards. The first screen that appears is the HyperStudio “Home Stack”. If I'm given a choice, I trend towards a super stealthy nonlethal approach when it comes to most of these games. Considering I’ve enjoyed them so much in the past, I was expecting to have a really great time with Aragami. I haven’t played many stealth based games, but all the ones I have done I’ve really enjoyed: Assassin’s Creed, Thief (for the PS4, not the older one), and Dishonored (both 1 and 2) are the ones I can think of off the top of my head. At the end of each mission you’re graded based on how well you did, and you can get different skins/costumes for your aragami depending on how you chose to play through the level. You can choose to go around and murder everyone, or you can just stealth past everyone to get to the objectives. In any case, here’s some context: it’s a 3rd person stealth game where you play an aragami, which is a spirit of vengeance. I try to wait until I’m done playing a game entirely before reviewing it, but I just don’t know that I’ll fully finish this one. Still, try I will.Īs of this moment I haven’t finished Aragami if I had to guess I’d say I’m probably about 3/4ths of the way through. I really wanted to like this game, but there’s just something about it that really seems to rub me the wrong way I’m not even sure I can really elucidate it that well. Some performance issues and technical faux pas still affect the game, but it’s overall a much more engaging experience than it was back in 2016 and worth giving a go if you’re at all a fan of classic stealth games.Menu Aragami 07 November 2017 on Video Games, Aragami, Stealth, 3rd Person It’s a fun addition that helps add a little replayability to the game and could go a long way for some people.Īragami: Nightfall adds a wealth of new missions and stories to Aragami that are worth checking out if you missed the game the first time around, and doubly worth checking out if you never picked it up at all. Completing challenges or milestones will let you unlock alternate colors or costumes for the protagonist to equip, and you can use them in singleplayer or in co-op multiplayer. If you haven’t checked in with Aragami since launch, another cool addition that made it’s way to the game some time ago were unlockable skins for the base game. They weren’t as bad as the issues during my initial playthrough of the base game, but there were still countless times that the action on screen would stutter and stop for seemingly no reason. Now, while the latest patch notes for Aragami tout the fact that performance is improved across the board and framerate should stay be “averaging 40-60 fps on PS4”, I still ran into my fair share of hitches and slowdowns while I was playing the Nightfall campaign. Finally, Twin Shadow is an addictive shadow power that lets you target any enemy within your sight and then call your partner in with a tap of the button, teleporting them to instantly take out your foe. You can throw Shadow Grenades to blind groups of enemies, or take a more offensive route with explosive kunai that drop their initial target and then detonate to take even more enemies with them. I had a lot more fun following their adventures thanks in part to the surprising depth of their characters, and the wide variety of mission objectives I had to follow throughout the campaign.Ī lot of that fun also came from the new shadow abilities that Nightfall’s protagonists have at their disposal. Hyo and Shinobu alone possess a lot more personality than anyone in the original story had, your silent shadowy protagonist included. Superhero films have always suffered from a glut of visual chaos. The whole reason why Batman and Superman were fighting still seemed an afterthought. This is something that DC's new universe is still trying to understand, which was evident in the insipid way ' Batman v Superman' dealt with it. There’s more emphasis on using the note field instead of having a bunch of custom fields The different apps (desktop, browser, mobile, web) don’t always play nice together My review is also based off of self-hosting, which gives you all of the premium features for free. I came from 1Password, which is more similar to Enpass than it is to bitwarden. After reading the above report, I just can't get myself to pull the trigger yet.Ĭompare this to frequent and complete audits for Bitwarden ( ) or 1Password ( ), both of which consistently performed much better than Enpass' single audit. Its also concerning that Enpass has been so hesitant to get the iOS or OSX apps audited, or to get a more recent audit.Īnd view the pushing that community members had to apply just to get that partial audit: Įnpass has all the features and integrations I would want in a password manager. The route a password takes from storage to its destination is a huge vulerability, and one where some glaring issues were found with how enpass handles it. While yes, password storage is on the device or cloud of your choosing, that is only part of the security risks that need to be addressed when managing passwords. The only reason I keep giving self-hosted Bitwarden a chance over and over again is because of Enpass' very poor (and only) 3rd party audit, which only covered its API, Windows, and Android apps. Is there anything else that I'm missing that could make me switch? I don't want to hate on BW, it's a great program, but I have not seen a reason for me to switch. The only thing I found in Bitwarden that's better than in Enpass is the URL-matching, in BW you can do it on a per-entry base and in Enpass you have to do it for every URL or not at all. I sync it with my own server via Webdav so the data is in my hands. Yes, it's closed source but the vault is not connected to their servers and can be synced with your method of choice. You can sort by entries with 2FA, attachments, archived etc. I use it on 2 Windows Pcs, 1 Android phone and an iPad.The browser extension is just a link to the Windows app, in my opinion a better integration than for BW. I have a lifetime license for Enpass and have been using it for years and never had any issues. Editing of entries takes more steps and you have to manually sync everytime as the auto-sync takes long to kick in. On Android it does not save new passwords (does not work on Enpass either) and auto-fill is hit or miss. You have to press enter everytime manually, on Enpass this happens automatically on pc. Although pretty good on iOS devices, the autofill experience with shortcuts on Android and Pc is kinda meh. The windows app and browser extension are pretty weak, everything "pro" you want to do, you have to do in the browser which can always be only as responsive as the server the instance is running on. I installed Bitwarden as a self-host on my server but I just can't get to like it. That’s not to say you don’t have to do some manual cleaning up on your end, but switching isn’t as frightening or tedious as you may think initially – the exception being iCloud Keychain and Google Password Manager which offer no export options.Everybody here keeps talking about Lastpass, Dashlane, Keepass etc but I see no mention of Enpass For the most part, all of these apps offer import and export functionality, making it easy to switch. Can I easily switch between password manager apps if I decide to try a different service? The best scenario is to write the master password down and store it somewhere safe: a bank deposit box, a fireproof safe in your home, with another family member, etc. If you lose or forget this password, accessing your existing information becomes very, very difficult. What happens if I forget my master password?įor anyone new to password managers, a master password is the one password you need to remember in order to access all of your other passwords. Things like password sharing in an emergency and travel mode with 1Password and password audits are just a few of the features you get on dedicated password services, which is why they are our first choice. Having said that, third-party options come with much better security measures and a host of other features to simplify password management and sharing. Is it safe to use the password manager built into my browser?īrowser password managers have improved a lot over the years and they’re free and safe to use, especially when paired with two-factor authentication. I sure as hell don't - and if you remember to use Docs' out-of-the-way Outline option, you'll never have to do it again, either. Who wants to waste time scrolling through endless-seeming screens to find the section of info you need to read, edit, or work on at any given moment? 2: Smarter document organizationĭealing with a complex document from your phone can be a real hassle. It's essentially just an easy way to browse the web from right within the app itself and then optionally bring some of the info you find right into your document. JRĪnd if Docs' suggested terms don't hit the mark for what you're after, you can also open up Explore and then simply search for anything you want. JRĪnd if you find something you want to copy over to your document for quoting, all you've gotta do is highlight it - and Docs will give you a one-tap "Insert" option to pull the text in. You can even view entire web pages in that same arrangement, without the need for any cumbersome app switching or awkward split-screen setups. You can tap on any topic to drill down further and browse through actual web results for the term, and the results will pop up right then and there as an overlay atop your in-progress document. Just tap the three-dot menu icon in Docs' upper-right corner while you're editing a document and then select Explore - and just like that, you'll get a list of suggested topics and images related to terms found within your document. The basic point of Explore is to let you research any subject you're writing about without ever leaving the Docs app. It's called Explore, and it's one of those options I always forget to use and then periodically realize how much I'm missing out on as a result. We'll save the best for, erm, first - 'cause the easily overlooked feature we're kickin' things off with really has the potential to change the way you work from your phone. Its effectiveness is explained by four main mechanisms of action, including macrodeformation of the tissues, drainage of extracellular inflammatory fluids, stabilization of the environment of the wound, and microdeformation. The system consists of a sponge, a semiocclusive barrier, and a fluid collection system. Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) promotes healing by evenly applying negative pressure on the surface of the wound. |
